Quantiser Module (Previously Title: Quantize Input/Output)
in progress
Samuel Lindeman
For the Midi Plug-In, a simple way to quantize incoming notes to a set beat division with option to control the strength (push/pull).
This would be a handy feature for manually triggering sounds at a specific interval, ie. with sloppy timing all notes could be spot-on.(1/8, 1/16 etc).

Mela 6.3 Build 400
Quantiser Module
- The module moves MIDI notes forward to the next grid division for tighter timing.
- Sync Parameter: Sets the grid divisions for quantisation.
- Slack Parameter: Sets how far a note can stray from the closest grid division before quantization kicks in. At 100%, nothing moves.
- Pull Parameter: Sets how strongly quantised notes snap to the next grid division. At 100%, they lock in fully.
- Note Shift Parameter: When on, quantised notes keep their original length by delaying note-off events. When off, note-offs stay put, and notes ending before the quantised note-on are removed.
- Quantiser is part of Collection 4.

This request was created before Mela 4, but now obviously it would work for all plug-in types.
A quantiser module notes (also from Samuel):
- "Quantize the incoming note events to a fixed grid varying from 1/1 to 1/128 with triplet & dotted options and a strength control."
- "’sensitivity knob’ (ie. maximum allowed delay)"
- "When the sensitivity knob is 0 no correction is done."
Also, the module will introduce latency (in the DAWs that support it) to compensate for notes that need to be played before they were actually played.
Latency amount will be (half of the chosen grid) x sensitivity knob.

+1 for this feature. Bitwig quantize (note fx) is handy example
